Carpet cleaning in Hampton Bays: what to know
Hampton Bays is the working town of the Hamptons. With about 15,000 residents, it is larger than any of the villages to its east, and plenty of people live here all year. It stretches from Peconic Bay to the ocean, with Montauk Highway as its main street, the Shinnecock Canal on its east side and the Ponquogue Bridge out to the beaches.
That means two kinds of homes: year-round family houses with kids and pets, and summer cottages and waterfront rentals. Hampton Bays is about 55 minutes from our Deer Park base, so we book visits ahead.
Hampton Bays houses, year-round and summer
Hampton Bays was once ten small hamlets, including Good Ground, Canoe Place, East and West Tiana, Squiretown, Red Creek and Ponquogue, joined under one name in 1922. Many of those names survive on street signs. The 2020 census counted about 7,900 housing units, and roughly a quarter were vacant, which reflects summer homes. Year-round housing is mostly ranches, capes and colonials on wooded lots, with wall-to-wall carpet in bedrooms, family rooms and finished basements. Near Shinnecock Bay, Tiana Bay and the Peconic shore there are cottages and waterfront homes used in summer or rented out. Families with pets need regular carpet cleaning like anywhere else. Seasonal places need a clean when they open, between renters, and before they close.
Hampton Bays areas we cover
We cover all of Hampton Bays, ZIP 11946. That includes the Montauk Highway business strip and the area near the LIRR station, Canoe Place by the Shinnecock Canal, Squiretown and Red Creek on the Peconic side, East and West Tiana, and Ponquogue and Dune Road across the bridge. From Deer Park we take Sunrise Highway east to the Hampton Bays exits, about 55 minutes.
What Hampton Bays carpet deals with
Year-round pets and kids
Hampton Bays has more full-time families than most of the Hamptons, so carpet takes daily wear from kids and dogs. Pet accidents soak into the pad and smell worse on humid days. We pre-treat, use an enzyme treatment on pet spots, and rinse with hot water extraction so the odor is removed, not covered up.
Fishing and boating
The Shinnecock Inlet commercial fishing dock is the second busiest in New York, and many residents fish or keep boats. Fish smell, bait, salt and bay mud ride in on boots and clothes. Entry carpet and mudroom rugs take the brunt. We pre-treat for odor and soil, then extract with hot water.
Bay and ocean sand
Ponquogue Beach, Tiana Beach and the bay beaches leave fine sand in every house that uses them. Sand sinks to the base of the pile and wears the fibers each time someone walks on it. Hot water extraction rinses it out of the pile, and traffic lanes, entry areas and stairs get extra passes.
Summer rentals
Cottages and waterfront homes in Hampton Bays rent by the week or month. Renters leave spills, sunscreen and sand behind. Small spots set if they sit. We are open 7 days, so a Saturday or Sunday turnover clean can be scheduled ahead, and the price for the whole cottage is confirmed before we start.

Carpet cleaning in Hampton Bays: questions
I live here all year. Can I book regular cleaning, not just summer?
Yes. Year-round families can book whenever they need us. Homes with pets may need cleaning a few times a year. Carpet starts at $119 for one room of any size, the price is confirmed before work starts, and you get $20 off when you book online.
Can you clean a cottage across the Ponquogue Bridge?
Yes. We cover Dune Road homes as well as the main part of Hampton Bays. If parking near a cottage is tight, we can bring portable equipment instead of running hoses from the truck. We confirm the price at the house before starting.
Can you get fish and bait smell out of entry carpet?
Usually. We pre-treat for odor and soil, then clean with hot water extraction. If the smell has soaked deep into the pad, it may take a second pass. We inspect first and tell you what to expect before any work begins.
How much does carpet cleaning cost in Hampton Bays?
