Questions to ask any rug cleaner
Do you test the fiber and dyes before cleaning? Do you clean in my home or wash off-site, and how do you decide? What is included in the price: dusting, fringe, pet treatment, pickup and return? How long will I be without the rug? A good cleaner answers all of these clearly.
Red flags
Anyone who wants to steam-clean a silk, viscose or antique rug in place without testing it. Anyone who can't tell you what the fiber is. Prices that change once the rug is rolled up in the truck.
What to expect after the cleaning
A properly cleaned rug should feel soft, smell neutral, and dry without rings or color bleeding. Fringe should be clean and lying straight. If a rug was washed off-site, it should come back rolled with a protective wrap. Ask your cleaner what they will do if a spot reappears after drying.
What we do
We inspect every rug, test the fiber and dyes, and choose between in-home cleaning and an off-site wash based on the rug, not the easiest option for us. You get the price before we start.
